Use the Recording Laptop (Dell Windows XP) to create the CD Master. Prior to the beginning of Sunday's Service, iTunes should be opened as the software to burn the CD. During the service, there are multiple .wav files that are created when using the recording software. All of these recordings have a standard naming convention for ease in identification and will be used to create the Sunday Service CD Master.

The first step required in the process is to label a blank CD-R using a Sharpie permanent Marker. The label should include:

    • CFL Center for Spiritual Living
    • Date
    • Talk Title
    • Talk Presenter

Once labeled, the blank is placed into the Dell Laptop's CD slot which is located at the rear right side of the keyboard. Just slip the CD in to the Slot and the laptop will completely load it.

The Second Step is to click on the iTunes open window to activate and use iTunes. The song playlists are located on the left side of the screen. One of those playlists is named with a date and CSL Orlando or similar. This is the CD Master Playlist. Click on this playlist and view the songs that are currently there from a previous week. Click on each of these songs and delete them as they are not needed for the new CD. Now click on the playlist, then right click and select rename. Change the date to the current date using the existing format.

In order to expedite the CD Master and CD Duplication processes, as recordings are completed during service, they are to be added to iTunes and placed in the current week playlist. Click on the File menu and select Add File ... This allows the .wav file to be played and used within iTunes. A pop-up window appears in the directory where all recordings are stored. Select the recorded file that was created.

Now click on the Recently Added playlist to view the "recently added" files (obviously). The last file at the bottom of the list is the latest file to be added and should be the file that was just selected. Drag and Drop this file from the Recently Added Playlist to the Dated CSL Orlando (CD Master) Playlist.

Continue to add files to iTunes and drag them from the Recently Added Playlist to the CD Master Playlist. By clicking on this playlist, the files added will be shown in the order they were added. If these files end up in an incorrect order within the playlist, they can be drag and dropped to re-order them at any time.

Once all the files are recorded and added to iTunes within the Master CD playlist, then the CD is burned. Right Click on the dated CSL Orlando (Master CD) Playlist and select Burn to Disc. This will pop up another window with options - all of which are already correct and do not require changes. Click OK to start burning the disc. While burning the percentage of completion is shown at the top of the screen. Once the Master CD has finished burning, press the eject button located in front of the keyboard between the keys and the laptop screen. It is to the right of the Function Keys.

Congratulations, the CD Master is Complete
