Join us Sunday December 29 with
    Deanne Torell as Guest Speaker.

    Deanne Torell

Deanne holds a Master of Counseling Degree and a Master of Divinity Degree with a Certificate in Congregational Practices. Deanne is also a student in the Unity Urban Ministerial School (UUMS).  Vocationally, she is engaged in clinical practice with adults who struggle with trauma, mental health, and substance abuse issues within a 12 Step community framework. Deanne has a passion for the community experience and looks forward to pastoring.

Deanne says, “Learning how to think theologically has ALWAYS fascinated me. My father was a Pentecostal preacher (specifically Apostolic Holiness) and my mother was United Methodist. From the time I was small, I was learning how to think about God. Exposure to both very different traditions created LOTS of questions. Forming my own theology while appreciating others’ has been enjoyable. I strive to engage in informative dialogue with anyone willing for the betterment of us both, and, I am very curious about the ways people describe how their theologies inform their practice because I think it's a big deal.

Deanne is thrilled about learning the multifaceted ways God manifests through humanity and seeks to support others in how to apply and bask in the sweetness of Source-centered spirituality. Her areas of interest include leadership, congregational care, queer advocacy, death, dying and bereavement, pastoral psychology, growth and development of persons and congregations, and spirituality in recovery.

The Central Florida Center for Spiritual Living is a 501(c)(3) non-profit religious organization located in the State of Florida. The ministry of this spiritual community is sustained primarily by the contributions of members and friends.
